Description:
Tungsten carbide rod can offer best-fit solutions for special work piece metals such as harden material with high wear resistance.
Our tungsten carbide rod essentially consists of two main components: hard metal tungsten carbide (WC) and binding agent Co. Carbide contributes to high hardness property in a most important degree for hard metal WC, while cobalt maintains its relative high toughness at the high level of hardness.
Our tungsten carbide rods are available in standard diameters with 310 mm standard length. And we can provide H6 grinding service. Customization is available by request.
Production process: dosing, wet-milling, pressing, sintering, quality test, finished product, packaging.

Advantage:
Compared to high speed steel, tungsten carbide consists of natural hard and stable phase, and practically doesn’t lose any level of its high hardness when heating up. However, the high hardness of HSS is only in a result of quenching process during which hard phase nucleates & grows. It breaks down easily when annealing. Therefore, carbide tools last significantly longer than HSS.
