Description:
Cemented carbide is a high wear resistant material composed of at least one metal carbide constituent. As a kind of ideal carbide cutting tool, it is suitable for making milling cutter and drilling bits.
Our tungsten carbide rod are made of optimum quality raw material wc and cobalt using by powder metallurgy technology.
The process to make solid rods starts with a mixture of a precise percentage of tungsten carbide powder and cobalt. Then powders added with forming agent are mixed & pressed into rod form on extrusion presses and hipped by simultaneous application of heat and pressure, producing a component that is as close to theoretic fully density as possible. The hipping process significantly eliminates porosity, showing a homogeneous microstructure on metallographic report.
